Help for Ukraine
Our MD Jo Boorsma offered to match the amount raised for Comic Relief and donate to a charity for Ukraine. Our chosen charity is Baby Lifeline which was founded by a lady called Judy Ledger from Coventry. Baby Lifeline is a unique national charity which promotes the safe care of pregnant women and newborn babies all over the UK and worldwide. The goal of the charity is to give every mother and baby the best outcome possible. As a registered nurse, Judy recognised that this was only possible by supporting those who care for them with training, equipment, and knowledge through research.
Pregnant or postpartum Ukrainian women and their babies are struggling to get the care they need. They find themselves giving birth in bomb shelters, metros, and having to evacuate hospitals.
Our donation of £275.00 will help provide vital aid to pregnant women, babies, families and healthcare professionals during this time of crisis. Baby Lifeline are sending birthing kits and other vital equipment.

We have also made some other donations to help Ukraine. We paid £250.00 to cover fuel costs for a lorry travelling to Poland with donations which was organised by local Henfield resident Celia Emmott.
We also donated £150 worth of toiletries to local newsagent Stokes of Henfield who were organising a collection of items for Ukraine.
